I liked this little episode (I wanted more).
Dexter get more coverage…

I have watched all of Torchwood and enjoyed most of it.

But Series 5 (Miracle Day) was awful
It was boring because the 10 episode story could easily have been told in 5.

What an awesome idea for an episode! Alexis was a delightful and insightful young lady. Cute laugh too

What a great souvenir she’ll have to listen to when she is older. Who wouldn’t want an audio file of one’s 8 year -old- self, reviewing a classic movie series. She’ll be able to re-visit her thoughts as an adult and compare her notes of the her older self vs. her younger self.

By the way Ted, I know you and I don’t care much for the Ewoks or Jar Jar but cut Alexis some slack. She’s 8 years old for Pete’s sake! Let her enjoy them There were a couple of times that you tried to use The Force to manipulate her feelings for the Ewoks. She loved them but you wanted the hatred for them to flow. Isn’t that right, Ted?

Great episode. I hope to hear more from Alexis.

Cutest episode ever, and a great idea Ted. My best friend is expecting a little girl soon, and I hope he’ll be having a very similar experience sharing the flicks with her down the road. Oh, and I’ll be the “uncle” slipping her copies of horror flicks as soon as she turns 10…

Bravo. I loved this episode. I too thought we were headed into troubled waters with Alexis but she was great! She’s a very well-spoken young lady and her parents (Ted and Mrs Ted? Jeff from SF? Doug? Lloyd from Suspect Video?) should be proud. I was also interested to hear that she liked all the corny/kid aspects of the movies. Sometimes we adults forget that popcorn movies are just that: corny.

I’d love to hear her take on other movies, even the tamer of the horror genre. By the last Star Wars movie she seemed comfortable behind the mic. Again, great job!

I’ll be honest, I thought I’d hate this after your initial introduction. I even stopped the podcast and listened to something else instead.

Eventually I came back to it and decided to give it a shot. I’m glad I did! The little girl, (Alexis?) came off as very intelligent and astute for her age. An impeccable memory as well. Her opinions on the first three films matched mine when I was her age…and still match my feelings of the trilogy to this day.

Very cool episode. Awesome concept. Makes me feel like all is not lost with this upcoming generation.

Now go and find some ten year old whose parents will let him watch the Friday the 13th series! Stat!

Very nice Horror Etc. installment! Nice to get a kid’s take as it instantly put be back in those shoes of a young Star Wars fan back in the day. Thought I would be annoyed, but as someone about Ted’s age, and having once been eight years old, I could feel my feet sitting in both rivers as you two hashed out this thing called Star Wars.
